Lorraine and Dino ( Show name Unscripted)
Lorraine has been at Hunter Ridge since its beginning in 1995. She has owned Dino since he was a yearling.
He is a 7 yr old by Sir Caletto. Lorraine also has two Boston Terriers Sluggo and Shamu, they are often seen
playing ball in the indoor. Dino has been enjoying a career in the First Year Greens and loves the challenge of the
Derbies.
He is currently offered for sale and is on our for sale page.
Rachel and her two horses
Daryl and Carter
Rachel has been with Hunter Ridge since she was teenager.
She had some great years on her faithful companion Daryl
( Show name Redford)
who is a 24 year young QH. He is still trucking around the show ring and does some part time work as a beginner lesson
horse. Her new horse Carter is progressing quickly and will soon be showing in the adult amatuers. Kiwi and Chikoo, her
rescued Jack Russells can be seen around the barn, on Carters heels as he hacks around the ring.
Julie and Regal ( show
name Manhattan)
Julie has been with Hunter Ridge for 5 years. She has the
beautiful Rugged Lark grandson Regal. She also has a very energetic dog named Rudder. Rudder is a pound
puppy that she got last summer. Regal is showing in the hunters and dabbles a little bit in the jumpers for a
change of pace.
Maddie and Buttons
Maddie
has been with Hunter Ridge for about 7 yrs. She started off with her pony Happy Camper and has since graduated to Mr.
Perfect, Buttons . Buttons show name is Sinatra ( he has a blue eye). Buttons is such a great dependable horse
and we all adore him. Happy is still at the farm and his new job is the walk trot lesson pony specialist.
Milo ( show name Mondavi)
Milo came to our farm about four years ago. He was owned by Lena Yates, when she left for college, I purchased
him as a school horse. Milo is a cute horse with somewhat of a grumpy exterior. He is a fabulous lesson and show
horse. On any given weekend you can hear him winning tons of ribbons in the walk division through the Pre Adults.
Emily and Aspen
Emily and Aspen are currently showing in the jumpers and Hunters. Emily and her three dogs
Sarge and Pickles can often be seen around the barn doing chores and helping out. Emily is in college and
studying to be a vet.
The Griffin Family - Beth, Ashley, Christy and Charlie
The Griffin family have been riding for about 6 years. They have a horse Lilly
that they love dearly. Lilly is a retired show horse that was given to us by an old student of mine. The girls
also show Milo at times and work on the weekends. They are extremely helpful and love hanging around the barn and doing
barn chores.
Jessica and Roy - Jessica started
off leasing a horse from us last year, she unexpectly acquired the wonderful youngster Roy. Roy is a coming 4 yr old
Tb, they are showing successfully. Roy is an extremely quiet and cute fellow that is progressing quickly!
Sue and Snoopy
- Sue is no stranger to the local shows around here, her former mount Funny Valentine was a very successful Pleasure horse
in Maryland. Snoopy is currently enjoying some training work and long days outside. She just purchased the lovely
Max, a 4 yr old TB, they will soon start showing.
Colette Just
leased her horse Romy and has purchased the lovely Troy from us. Troy is a coming 4 yr old that has just
been started. We look forward to seeing them in the show ring next show season.
Ellen and Spike
- They are back! After being transferred out of state, they are now back in the area and boarding with us again. Milo
and Spike are joined at the hip again and are best friends!
Ellens
Dog Fessick is really enjoying himself at the barn and follows Ellen and Spike everywhere.
Stephanie
and Woodley - Stephanie rides with us part time while she is in Washington, Woodley lives in Lexington , Va, but we see him
at many of the shows. He is an extremely good jumper and and adorable horse !
